The Cock O' The North

There are many opportunities for rail buffs to see and experience exciting destinations utilizing a variety of train journeys. Here is one part of the world - SCOTLAND - that is simple and straightforward to reach and offers breathtaking landscapes, friendly people, and a six-day tour of the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Known as 'The Cock O' The North - Scotland' this tour offers a wonderfully relaxing way to see superb scenery from the comfort of a train and to enjoy the atmosphere of a two-night stay on the romantic Scottish island, Isle of Skye. During 2007 this tour departs London King's Cross at midday on selected dates, quickly glides along the East Coast Main line through Newcastle and onto Edinburgh. A two-course lunch is served en route.

Included in this spectacular journey is all train travel, transfers and tours, five nights' dinner bed and breakfast at good quality three star hotels, five lunches, private coach for the duration in Scotland to carry the luggage while you enjoy the train rides, the services of a tour manager.
