Grand Canyon All Rail Trip

Amtrak's Southwest Chief starts out in Los Angeles or you can board at Fullerton it's first stop on the way to Chicago. After you get settled into your private roomette you can make your way to the dining car for dinner, then head to the lounge car for a drink. The train will make it's way through the darkness while you sleep for an early morning arrival in Williams Jct., Arizona, where the Grand Canyon Railway will pick you up for the short shuttle ride to the Grand Canyon Rail Hotel. While waiting for your train trip to the Grand Canyon you make your way to Max and Thelma's for breakfast, then it's off on an adventure to the Canyon. After your sightseeing tour of the South Rim, enjoy lunch at the El Tovar. Beware on your return trip to Williams in the afternoon, it has been rumored the train might get robbed, just like in the movies. After a long day you can take advantage of the indoor pool at the GCR Hotel and eat dinner at Max and Thelma's. The Southwest Chief makes a late night stop at Williams Jct. to pick you up; your beds will be made so you can get to sleep quickly. If you are an early riser you can get breakfast in the dining car before arriving at Fullerton. The price on this package is $571 per person (dbl.)
